(Mu'amin) 40 : 68
هُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
He is the One Who gives life and causes to die; then if He intends anything, He says to it: Be, then it is.
As explained in verse 3: 49, Messenger Jesus was giving life to the dead with Adhikr—the Permission and Command of the Lord. The believer who holds fast to the Safeguard Adhikr mentioned in verse 5: 48 can decide time of his death. See explanation 14: 11; 36: 12, 82-83.
